"My husband and I eloped because we wanted a day that was centered around the two of us. That’s why we chose a hike-in micro elopement with “just us”…no guests, no officiant. Knowing this, and knowing that we are two *intensely* introverted folks, finding a photographer we could be truly comfortable around was the highest priority. I mean it when I say - Carly felt like an extension of us, on the day. You would never know we had only met in person that morning. Our interactions were effortless, and she guided two people who usually hate having their picture taken through posing that never felt like posing. She was simultaneously completely out of our way, and there to support and document. Carly made the day feel easy.
We were first drawn to Carly’s work because the moody, romantic photos in her portfolio appealed to our own style. We had a webcam consultation several months before our wedding, and immediately felt at ease. We warned her we were super shy, offbeat and non-traditional. She “met us” where we were and was wonderful to work with. She helped us find an unforgettable setting for our ceremony and to plan a timeline. She even helped us find the cutest airbnb with nice lighting. Our elopement was an absolute dream and she was a huge part of that.
I have not even talked about our photos! Our gallery is absolutely gorgeous. She knew we loved that moody, darkly romantic style and boy did she deliver! We have a certain aesthetic and she understood the assignment. Everyone who has seen our photos has gone positively gaga over them. So, I cannot possibly overstate this- Carly was a blessing to us on the most important day of our lives so far. If you are considering foregoing the traditional wedding because you are different, go with your gut. I would not change a thing and I would enthusiastically recommend Carly as a photographer."

"I cannot put into words how grateful I am we hired Carly for our wedding. Her photography is breathtaking, and she has a way of making you instantly comfortable and feel like you have known her your whole life. It is for this reason I believe that she's able to capture emotion and love like a true private moment between the couple.
My husband and I rarely love photos of ourselves, and aren't used to PDA, but we love every single moment Carly has captured of us. She is also so committed to adventure, which was absolutely perfect for us. Climbing giant rocks along the ocean, or squishing through mud, long grass, and ticks in the woods... She just kept having fun, and loved the shots she was getting. Her enthusiasm in the moment keeps things comfortable and moving along, no awkwardness or weird down time.
Absolutely nothing feels forced or posed. She is so committed to individualizing her craft to the couple and you can feel it in every interaction. Carly was the guiding light that helped me see how much fun our story was to tell, and it truly set the stage for the rest of our wedding to unfold perfectly. Our ceremony was immediate family only, and every family member said "it felt like Carly was one of us!!" It absolutely did. With a small intimate wedding, that feeling is so important. She captured the most incredible candid photos while having fun and blending in as an extension of our family that day.
I can't forget to mention... Carly has an insanely talented group of peers, and can refer you to practically every other vendor you would need. With her high level of talent, she knows other committed talent when she sees it, trust her. We ended up hiring everyone Carly recommended and it was amazing to see them function as one big happy team of very talented friends. I could write forever and ever about how grateful I am for Carly and her incredible photography... Carly, thank you forever. I wouldn't change a second about our day and the vision all came together through first talking to you!"
